
About Me

I am a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with over 18 years of experience working with children who have communication delays and disorders. Upon completion of my honours undergraduate degree from McMaster University, I went on to obtain a post graduate diploma at Durham College to become a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA). I worked for two years as a CDA providing direct speech and language intervention to children with a variety of communication needs.
I then went on to complete my training in Speech-Language Pathology at Syracuse University in New York where I obtained a Masters degree in Communication Sciences-Speech Language Pathology. I am registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). I am also a member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC).
I have hands-on experience working in private practice, preschool and school-based settings. I have extensive experience working with children with a variety of difficulties and diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, receptive and expressive language delays, articulation/phonology delays, motor speech/apraxia, stuttering, play and social development delays, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome.
I am passionate about helping children communicate. I take a family-centred approach to working with my clients, caregivers and professionals involved in a child’s care. I am constantly learning from my clients and families and am always striving to learn more to enhance my clinical skills.
